Since 2008, Intrepid has been a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) – the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.
In order for sustainability to remain embedded in our operations, we take a holistic view of our business and its various points of impact. This means looking beyond our balance sheet to the areas intrinsically linked to our business: the environment, society, economy and governance/ethics.
We're committed to ensuring that we take responsibility for our impact in these areas and contributing to, rather than diminishing, their health and value.
Every year, we produce a ‘Communications on Progress’ report, to show the progress we've made in each of the sustainability areas we've committed to tackling.
From 2017, we've combined this report with our annual financial reporting, through the introduction of an integrated reporting style. The aim is to show how sustainability can benefit both the top and bottom line, by providing full transparency and accountability around the way we operate our business.
